NAGLABAS ng memorandum ang Department of Budget and Management (DBM) sa mga departamento at ahensya ng gobyerno upang ihanda na ng mga ito ang kanilang panukalang budget para sa 2024.

Inilabas ni Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman ang National Budget Memorandum No. 145 o ang National Budget Call na siyang hudyat ng paghahanda para sa National Expenditure Program (NEP) ng susunod na taon.

“The 2024 National Expenditure Program shall adhere to the policies and directions embodied in the government’s 8-Point Socioeconomic Agenda and the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2023-2028. We will make sure that the proposal shall support the achievement of the targets set by the FY 2022-2028 Medium-Term Fiscal Framework (MTFF),” sabi ni Pangandaman.

Hiniling ng DBM na bigyang-diin sa gagawing panukalang budget ang infrastructure development kasama ang “Build Better More” program at ang digital at social infrastructure na kailangang itayo.

“The President’s directive is clear— we need to assure that no Filipino will be left behind. Everyone will be part of the development as we will give full support to the poorest and most vulnerable sectors by providing basic public services,” dagdag pa ni Pangandaman.

Ipagpapatuloy din umano ng gobyerno ang pagtugon sa pangangailangan ng mga nahihirapan dulot ng epekto ng Russian-Ukraine war at COVID-19 pandemic.
