Distribusyon ng bivalent Covid-19 vaccine sinimulan na ng DOH

NAGSIMULA na ang Department of Health (DOH) sa pamamahagi ng bivalent Covid-19 vaccines sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng bansa.

Ayon kay Health Secretary Ted Herbosa nasa 390,000 doses ng bivalent Covid-19 vaccine ang dumagting sa bansa mula sa COVAX facility.

“So, it’s a donation, hindi ito prinocure, and as of this moment, as we speak, I think they have already been redistributed to the different region of the Department of Health,” ani Herbosa.

“It’s going to be (stored), parang may depots. Kasi may cold chain ang vaccine. So kailangan they’re kept at the right temperature,” dagdag pa ng kalihim.

Sinabi ni Herbosa na unang babakunahan ang mga senior citizen at susunod ang mga may comorbidity at health care workers.

Ayon kay Herbosa dahil nawala na ang deklarasyon ng public health emergency mas matagal ang proseso para makabili ng bivalent Covid-19 vaccines.

“Meron lang snag and issues kasi nawala iyong public health emergency. So, the issue of the vaccine is in terms of the EUA (emergency use authorization). So, to procure it, kailangan ma-i-rehistro sa ating FDA. But we are trying hard to get all these bivalent (vaccines),” paliwanag ni Herbosa.
