BINIGYANG-DIIN ni House Deputy Majority Leader at Iloilo 1st District Rep. Janette Garin ang kahalagahan na maipaliwanag ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte sa publiko kung bakit siya ang napili ni Pastor Apollo Quiboloy na maging administrator ng yaman nito.

“Getting a former President as a possible administrator of your properties and your wealth can be misconstrued as hiding something, kasi (because) you have to get somebody powerful to do that,” ani Garin bilang tugon sa tanong ng isang mamamahayag sa isinagawang press conference nitong Martes.

“So siguro nahiya lang din si [Duterte] at tinanggap niya. Either nahiya siya na sabihing hindi o kung he’s doing it as a friend or he is doing it as a lawyer. So, all of these questions can properly be answered by the former president,” sabi ni Garin.

Si Quiboloy ay nahaharap ng reklamong sexual abuse of a minor at qualified human trafficking sa Department of Justice (DOJ). Siya ang spiritual adviser ni Duterte.

Hindi dumalo si Quiboloy sa mga imbestigasyon ng Kamara at Senado.

Nauna ng nagpahayag si ACT Teachers Party-List Rep. France Castro ng pagkabahala sa ugnayan nina Duterte at Quiboloy lalo at mayroong lumutang na isyu ng money laundering.

“Now the best person to answer that issue should be the former president. Maganda rin talagang lumabas si former president at sagutin niya,” sabi ni Garin.

Inamin naman ni Garin na nagulat ito sa ginawang pagpili ni Quiboloy kay Duterte na malapit ng mag-79-taong gulang.

“Well personally I myself as a politician is quite surprised with that bold act,” sabi ni Garin.

“Kasi siyempre may imbestigasyon, may mga alegasyon ng tax evasion or ill-gotten wealth or whatever the sources of the money of the businesses of Pastor Quibuloy, magugulat ka why get a former president?” tanong ng lady solon.
