HINIKAYAT ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang mga stakeholders na mag-doble kayod para mapalakas ang implementasyon ng disaster risk reduction framework at makamit ang climate-resilient future.
Sa talumpati sa opening ceremony ng Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction sa Philippine International Convention Center sa Pasay City, sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos na sa ganitong paraan, mababawasan ang epekto ng climate change.
“It remains crucial to align out goals under this framework with the 20230 Sustainable Development Goals, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
“We must harmonize our approaches and pursue meaningful actions under these mandates to secure a sustainable and climate-reslient future,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
Ayon sa Pangulo, hindi na bago sa mga bansa na nasa Asia-Pacific region ang mga kalamidad.
Hinimok pa ni Pangulong Marcos ang lahat na isulong ang safer, inclusive, adaptive at disaster resilience future.
