MIC di sinasara opsyon sa pagbili ng shares sa SGC
Bukas ang Maharlika Investment Corporation (MIC) sa posiblidad sa pagbili ng shares sa State Grid Corporation ng China.
Ginawa ni MIC President Rafael Consing ang pahayag matapos magkaroon ng 20% na shares ang MIC na bahagi sa Synergy Grid and Development Philippines (SGP) na nagbigay sa dalawang upuan sa board ng SGP at dalawa pa sa National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).
Sa pulong balitaan sa Malakanyang, sinabi ni Consing, hindi nila isinasara ang opsyon na ito.
Nabatid na ang NGCP ay 60% ang pag aari ng SGP, habang ang SGCC ay may 40% SGCC.
“If it becomes available, I think so, yes,” pahayag ni Consing.
“We have not spoken basically to the Chinese, we only saw this opportunity (at the) SGP level, we’re not having discussions with the Chinese… with the State Grid of China at this point in time,” dagdag ni Consing.
Hindi rin aniya nababahala ang MIC sa paglalagak ng pondo sa NGCP kahit pa na kasama ang China bilang power grip operator.
“On the other hand, if there are other things that need to be strengthened, for example the cyber security of the transmission lines of the country and the transmission facilities, then we would also be able to—government would also be better able to contribute to addressing those issues,” pahayag ni Consing.
Sa ngayon, wala naman aniyang banta sa grid ng Pilipinas.
“And we just want to basically say that our presence there, at least we would be able to monitor if such threats indeed arise. But at the moment, no such threat exists and nothing has been proven and in fact, there are no allegations of such a threat existing,” dagdag ni Consing.
