PINURI ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. matapos matanggap ang Pilipinas sa dirty money grey list ng Financial Action Task Force (FATF) na nakabase sa Paris, na pakikinabangan ng mga overseas Filipino worker (OFWs) dahil bababa ang singil sa kanilang remittance na ipinapadala sa kanilang mga mahal sa buhay sa bansa.

Kinilala rin ni Speaker Romualdez ang malawak na epekto ng pagkakatanggal ng Pilipinas sa grey list hindi lamang sa mga OFW kundi maging sa mga nagnenegosyo sa bansa.

“By restoring our standing in the global financial community, we are removing burdensome restrictions, reducing transaction costs, and allowing financial flows to move more efficiently. This is particularly good news for our OFWs, whose hard-earned remittances will now be processed faster and with lower fees,” ani Speaker Romualdez.

Itinuturing naman ito ng Speaker bilang makasaysayang tagumpay ng administrasyong Marcos na isa umanong patunay ng pagsusumikap ng bansa sa pagkakaroon ng integridad sa pananalapi, transparency, at pandaigdigang pamumuno sa ekonomiya.

“The Philippines’ exit from the FATF grey list is a monumental victory for our economy and a resounding testament to our collective resolve to uphold the highest standards of financial governance. It restores global confidence in our financial institutions and opens the floodgates for greater investments, economic growth, and international partnerships,” sabi ni Speaker Romualdez.

Napasama ang Pilipinas sa FATF grey list noong Hunyo 2021 o noong nakaraang administrasyon.

Iginiit din ng lider ng Kamara ang malaking ambag ng Kamara de Representantes sa pamamagitan ng reporma sa lehislasyon sa pagpapalakas ng anti-money laundering at counter-terrorism financing framework ng bansa, na kabilang sa pangunahing kondisyon para maalis ang Pilipinas sa listahan.

“We in the House worked closely with the Executive Branch, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC), and other key institutions to pass and implement crucial financial measures that paved the way for this success,” dagdag ni Speaker Romualdez.

Para sa larangan ng pagnenegosyo, tinukoy ni Speaker Romualdez na mapapalakas nito ang tiwala ng mga mamumuhunan, makaka engganyo ng foreign direct investment (FDI), at mapapaigting ang relasyong pangkalakalan para maiposisyon ang bansa bilang premyadong economic hub sa rehiyon.

Kinilala ng Speaker ang malakas na pamumuno ni Pangulong Marcos na inilatag ang roadmap para makasunod sa FATF action plan sa pamamagitan ng Executive Order (EO) No. 33 na inilabas noong 2023.

“This milestone underscores that Bagong Pilipinas is not just a vision—it is an era of decisive governance, where reforms are pursued with discipline, unity, and determination. Under President Marcos’ leadership, we have shown the world that the Philippines is ready to take its place among the most trusted economies,” paglalahad ni Speaker Romualdez.

Tiniyak ni Speaker Romualdez assured na patuloy na magbabantay aang Kamara sa pagbabantay ng integridad ng pananalapi at siaiguruhin na hindi na mapapasama muli ang Pilipinas sa greylist at lahat ng reporma sa lehislarura ay susuporta aa katatagan ng ekonomiya at panglahatang pag unlad.

“As we celebrate this achievement, we remain steadfast in our commitment to sound governance, fiscal discipline, and national progress. The House of Representatives will continue to champion reforms that secure our financial future and bring prosperity to every Filipino,” pagbibigay diin ni Speaker Romualdez.
