NAKIISA si Tingog Party-list Rep. Jude Acidre sa milyun-milyong Katoliko sa buong mundo sa pagsalubong sa pagkahalal kay Pope Leo XIV.

“We join the billions of Catholics around the world in thanking God for the election of Pope Leo XIV,” ani Acidre, kasunod ng anunsyo mula sa Vatican na si Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost ang nahalal bilang bagong pinuno ng Simbahang Katoliko Romano.

“Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost has been chosen to carry the heavy but holy burden once carried by Peter,” dagdag pa niya. “Just as our Lord told Peter to ‘strengthen your brothers,’ we now look to Pope Leo XIV to guide, inspire, and confirm us in the faith.”

Nagbigay rin si Acidre ng pagpupugay sa paglilingkod at espiritwal na pamana ni Pope Francis. “We are grateful, too, for the life and witness of Pope Francis—who taught us how to love more, hope more, and serve more deeply.”

“We now pray for our new Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV,” aniya. “May the Lord bless him with wisdom, courage, and compassion as he leads the Church in these challenging times.”
