BINUBUO ng administrasyong Marcos ang amnesty package para sa mga susukong rebelde, ayon kay Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.

“In a landmark move toward reconciliation and reintegration, the Philippine government shall soon establish a new amnesty package that would allow members of non-State armed groups to relinquish their arms and return to society,” sabi ni Executive Secretary sa kanyang mensahe para sa International Humanitarian Law Day.

Ang mensahe ay binasa ni Undersecretary Severo Catura.

Ang package ay naglalaman umano ng ayuda upang matulungan ang mga magbabalik-loob na rebelde sa kanilang pagbabalik sa lipunan.

“More importantly, this initiative shall be a bold step toward ending the vicious cycle of violence and fostering a culture of forgiveness and unity that promotes national healing,” dagdag pa ni Bersamin.

Hiniling ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa Kongreso noong State of the Nation Address (SONA) na suportahan ang kanyang ibibigay na amnesty program.
