KINILALA at pinuri ng Kamara de Representantes si dating Deputy Speaker Rose Marie J. Arenas na ginawaran ng Distinguished Service Award ng Association of Southeast Asian Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA).

Sa sesyon noong Martes ay ibinigay ng Kamara ang kopya ng House Resolution 598 kay Arenas na naging kinatawan ng Pangasinan mula 2013 hanggang 2022.

“…For her laudable accomplishments on both local and international fronts, Honorable Rose Marie ‘Tita Baby’ J. Arenas deserves the highest honor and distinction not only from the House of Representatives but from the whole nation as well,” sabi ng resolusyon.

Ang HR 598 ay akda nina Speaker Martin G. Romualdez, Majority Leader Manuel Jose “Mannix” M. Dalipe, Minority Leader Marcelino C. Libanan, senior Deputy Majority Leader Ferdinand Alexander A. Marcos, at Tingog Party-List Reps. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez at Jude A. Acidre.

Si Arenas ay naging vice chairperson ng House Committee on East ASEAN Growth Area noong 2013; chairperson ng House Committee on Inter-Parliamentary Relations and Diplomacy noong 2016; at Deputy Speaker noong 2018.
