Ito ang panawagan ni Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman Richard Bachmann sa bayang basketbolista para sa nalalapit na pagbubukas ng 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup sa Aug. 25 sa Philippine Arena sa Bocaue, Bulacan.

Tinukoy ni Bachmann ang tatlong laro ng Gilas Pilipinas laban sa Dominican Republic sa Philippine Arena at Angola at Italy sa Smart Araneta Coliseum.

“As the games return to our home soil, this historic event will forever be etched in the chronicles of our basketball history. So, I invite our kababayans to watch the games, may it be live or online,” pahayah ni Bachmann.

Nagpasalamat din si Bachmann sa Office of the President sa deklaraston ng Memorandum Circular No. 27, na pirmado ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin base sa authority ni President

Ferdinand Marcos Jr., na nag-suspend ng trabaho sa mga opisina at pasok sa lahat ng public schools sa Metro Manila at Bulacan sa August 25.

“The PSC came out with this appeal to the Office of the Executive Secretary a few weeks back. We’re thankful that this was granted immediately to ensure the safe, orderly, and successful conduct of the opening ceremonies,” dagdag ni Bachmann, na una ng nagsilbi bilang Operations Head ng FIBA Local Organizing Committee (LOC) bago ang kanyang PSC chairmanship.

“We are optimistic that with the immense support from our national government and the PSC, many of our Filipino basketball fans will fill up the seats in every game and be part of history,” paliwanag pa ni Bachmann.
