IPINAGTANGGOL ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang pagkakaroon nito ng confidential funds.

Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ng DepEd na pinapayagan na magkaroon ng confidential expenses ng isang civilian office.

“The threats to the learning environment, safety, and security of DepEd personnel are interlocking with the mandate of support to the national security of civilian offices,” sabi ni DepEd.

Binigyan-diin ng DepEd ang pangangailangan ng tamang impormasyon sa paglaban sa anumang uri ng karahasan, katiwalian, korupsyon, iligal na droga, terorismo at rebelyon, krimen, at scam upang makagawa ng angkop na aksyon ang ahensya.

“We hope that this will enlighten our stakeholders that DepEd does not only face problems with access, equity, and quality education but also has to contend with pressing issues on safety and security,” sabi pa ng DepEd.
