INAKUSAHAN ni 1-Rider Party-list Rep. Rodge Gutierrez si Davao del Norte Rep. Pantaleon Alvarez na inilihis ang isyu kaugnay ng pagsasampa ng reklamo laban sa mga lider ng Kamara de Representantes.

Ginawa ni Gutierrez ang pahayag matapos sabihin ni Alvarez, na nagsilbi bilang Speaker noong administrasyong Duterte, na lasing sa kapangyarihan ang miyembro ng Kamara at umaastang korte.

Ang pahayag ni Alvarez ay kaugnay ng pagkuwestyon ni Gutierrez sa timing ng paghahain nito ng reklamo sa Ombudsman.

Sinabi ng party-list congressman na iginagalang niya ang karapatan ng kanyang kasamahan mula Davao del Norte at iba pang indibidwal na magsampa ng kaso kaugnay ng budget insertions at budget blanks controversy.

“Personally, I don’t agree with the mode and I don’t agree with the timing po. I mean, there was this doubt regarding that. But then for that response po, I feel like nalilihis po ulit ‘yung issue instead of answering it head on po. But then we respect it,” sabi niya.

Aniya ginawa ang paghahain ng kaso matapos ipa-impeach ng mayorya ng mga kinatawan ng Kamara is Vice President Sara Duterte.

“Yung sa akin lang po, it’s just that the timing that it would come out after the news of the impeachment, ‘yun lang po ‘yung tanong namin dito last time. It’s not even about probable cause po. ‘Yung tanong lang po namin talaga is just the timing in general,” dagdag niya.

Punto pa ni Gutierrez na hindi nila maaaring umakto ang Kamara at iba pa na kumukuwestyon sa timing ng reklamo gaya ng paratang ni Alvarez, dahil hindi naman nila tinalakay ti kunuwestyon ang merito ng reklamo.

“Kasi ‘yung comments niya po, I remember it’s likening the Congress to a court, na there was mentioned na probable cause po ano. Pero if I recall our statements correctly, we’re talking about ‘yung personal motivations that might accompanied, the timing of the case,” sabi pa niya.

“Hindi pa naman po kami doon sa merit of the case itself. So, wala naman po kaming sinasabi dun sa probable cause. At least ako, personally if I recall correctly, ‘yung binabanggit ko is the timing of the filing of the case. Bakit ngayon lang po? So, definitely we don’t want to pre-judge kung merong probable cause or hindi,” saad niya.

“In fact what we’ve mentioned if I remember correctly is that we welcome po, we respect anyone, not just the good congressman, but anyone who would like to seek redress before the courts. So, tama naman po ‘yung ginawa niya, it’s just that we don’t agree,” wika ni Gutierrez.

Ilan pang miyembro ng Kamara ang pinuna si Alvarez sa paghahain ng reklamo gayong hindi naman niya ito kinuwestyon noong tinatalakay ang pambansang pondo para sa 2025 nang talakayin ito ng komite at plenaryo ng Kamara.

Sabi ni House Assistant Majority Leader and Taguig 2nd District Rep. Pammy Zamora guilty si Alverez ng “legislative estoppel” at kinuwestyon ang kanilang hakbang na maghain ng falsification ng legislative documents laban sa tatlong House leaders.

“It’s very ironic that Mr. Alvarez barely participated in the non-stop budget hearings that we’ve had for the 2025 budget, whether sa committee level or sa plenary. Wala naman siyang ni-raise na concern,” sabi ni Zamora.

Sinabi rin ni House Majority Leader and Zamboanga City Rep. Manuel Jose “Mannix” M. Dalipe na mayroon noong pagkakataon si Alvarez na tutulan, kuwestyunin ang alokasyon at tukuyin ang mga kamailan noong deliberasyon sa plenaryo, ngunit hindi niya ito ginawa.
