MAS pinalakas pa ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang  eTravel system bilang opisyal na electronic travel declaration platform para sa mga internasyonal na pasahero at crew.

Sa ilalim ng Administrative Order (AO) 24, mas mapapabuti na ang kontrol sa hangganan at gamitin ng gobyerno ang e-travel system para sa maayos na pagsasagawa ng border control, health surveillance, tourism statistics analysis at iba pang travel related procedures.

Sa ilalim din ng kautusan, magtatayo ng Technical Working Group (TWG) na pangungunahan ng Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) kasama ang Bureau of Immigration (BI) para mangasiwa sa pagpapabuti ng sistema.

Inaatasan din nito ang lahat ng kaugnay na departamento na suportahan ang TWG at sumunod sa mga regulasyon sa privacy ng datos.

“The eTravel System is hereby institutionalized as the government’s one-stop electronic travel declaration system for all international inbound and outbound passengers and crew members,”ayon pa sa kautusan.

Ang eTravel system ay sinimulan noong Disyembre 2022 at pinalawig noong Abril 2023 para isama ang lahat ng international na biyahero.

“Thereafter, the funding requirements necessary for the continued implementation of this Order shall be included in the budget proposals of said agencies, subject to the usual budget preparation process,” nakasaad pa sa kautusan.
