Forecast ng Moody’s patunay na nasa tamang direksyon ang PBBM admin
ANG pahayag umano ng Moody’s Investors Service na ang Pilipinas ang magtatala ng pinakamataas na economic growth sa Asia-Pacific region sa 2023 ay patunay na tama ang direksyong tinatahak ng administrasyon ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Ito ang sinabi ni Speaker Martin G. Romualdez matapos ilabas ng Moody’s ang kanilang forecast sa susunod na taon kung saan sinabi nito makapagtatala ang Pilipinas ng 6.4% paglago sa gross domestic product (GDP) nito.
“Moody’s Investors Service’s positive forecast for the Philippines in 2023 confirms we are on the right track, and that our economy is in full swing toward recovery, gaining more momentum,” sabi ni Romualdez.
Ayon kay Moody’s makakapagtala ang Pilipinas ng 6.4% GDP growth sa 2023 at susundan ng Vietnam (6.1 percent), China (5.1 percent), India (5 percent), Indonesia (4.7 percent), Thailand (3.9 percent), at Malaysia (3.8 percent).
Ang paglago ng ekonomiya ay itutulak umano ng pagtaas ng demand sa mga produkto at serbisyo at mga polisiyang ipinatutupad ng Marcos administration sa sektor ng edukasyon, kalusugan, at imprastraktura.
Bukod sa magandang projection ng Moody’s, sinabi ni Romualdez na batay sa pahayag ni Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno ay magiging maganda rin ang 2022 ng bansa at makapagtatala ng 6.5 percent hanggang 7 percent na paglago sa GDP.
“Taken together, they validate the rationality of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s decision to relax pandemic-related restrictions, the soundness of his administration’s economic policies and the competence of his chosen economic managers,” sabi ni Speaker.
Ipinaalala naman ni Romualdez na nananatili ang epekto ng Russia-Ukraine conflict at COVID-19 virus.
Nananatili naman umano ang pagsuporta ng Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso sa pagpasa ng mga panukalang batas na kailangan ng administrasyon upang matugunan ang mga problema ng bansa.
“The House of Representatives remains committed to passing the priority legislation of the Marcos administration to address these concerns and ensure sustainable, resilient, innovative, and inclusive economic growth,” dagdag pa ni Romualdez.
Nauna ng sinabi ni Romualdez na ang Pilipinas ay nasa unang yugto ng full economic recovery at nasa tamang direksyon para umunlad.
