Ex-Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil
Garafil nagpasalamat sa tiwala, pagrekomenda ni PBBM sa kanya bilang MECO chief
PORMAL nang inindorso ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. si dating Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil bilang miyembro at chairman ng board of directors ng Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) sa Taiwan.
Ayon sa pahayag ng Presidential Communications Office (PCO), isang desire letter ang ipinadala ni Pangulong Marcos sa board ng MECO.
Nagpasalamat naman si Garafil sa tiwala ni Pangulong Marcos.
“I express my heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for entrusting me with a role that holds great significance and tremendous responsibility, as it comes with the duty of ensuring the welfare of our Kababayans in Taiwan,” pahayag ni Garafil.
“I also assure the President and the Filipino people of my steadfast dedication to further strengthening economic and cultural exchanges between the Philippines and the people of Taiwan,” pahayag ni Garafil.
Matatandaang nagsilbi si Garafil bilang kalihim ng PCO mula Enero 2023 hanggang Setyembre ngayong taon.
Si PCO Secretary Cesar Chavez ang pumalit sa puwesto ni Garafil.
