NAGPALITAN ng posisyon sa liderato ng Kamara de Representantes sina dating Pangulo at Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo at Pampanga Rep. Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales Jr.

Si Gonzales na ang bagong senior Deputy Speaker at si Arroyo naman ay bumaba bilang Deputy Speaker.

Ang pagpapalit ng dalawa ay ginawa sa isang halalan sa plenaryo ng Mababang Kapulungan noong Miyerkoles ng gabi.

Samantala, sinabi ni Arroyo sa isang pahayag na ang pagpalit sa kanya ni Gonzales ay prerogative ng Kamara.

“It’s the prerogative of the House,” ani Arroyo sa isang pahayag.

Sinabi naman ni House Majority Leader Manuel Jose “Mannix” M. Dalipe na ang pagpapalit ng dalawa ay magpapagaan sa trabaho ni Arroyo.

“The House of Representatives has elected Deputy Speaker Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales, Jr. as Senior Deputy Speaker to unburden his cabalen, former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, of the heavy load required from the position,” sabi ni Dalipe.
