HINAMON ni House ad hoc committee on Marawi rehabilitation and victims compensation chairman Zia Alonto Adiong ng Lanao del Sur si Vice President Sara Duterte na tigilan na ang paggamit ng mga walang basehang paratang ng korapsyon upang pagtakpan at mailihis ang atensyon mula sa mga seryoso at dokumentadong alegasyon laban sa kanya, na nakasaad sa Articles of Impeachment na inihain sa Senado.

“VP Sara keeps pointing fingers to divert attention, but the facts are clear—what needs to be answered are the questionable disbursements of confidential funds under her watch, not imaginary corruption in the House of Representatives,” ani Adiong, isa ring House Assistant Majority Leader.

Ayon kay Adiong, ang mga alegasyon laban kay Duterte ay nag-ugat sa mga natuklasan ng Commission on Audit (COA) at dokumentadong rekord ng paggastos mula sa Office of the Vice President (OVP) at Department of Education (DepEd).

Ayon sa Articles of Impeachment, ginastos umano ni Duterte ang P125 milyon sa confidential funds sa loob lamang ng 11 araw noong Disyembre 2022.

Bukod dito, noong 2023 ay gumastos din ang OVP ng P375 milyong confidential funds.

Noong kalihim ng DepEd, gumastos naman si Duterte ng P112.5 milyong confidential funds.

Ayon sa ulat, ang mga pondong ito ay inilaan sa mga intelligence assets na may mga kahina-hinalang pangalan tulad nina “Mary Grace Piattos,” “Kokoy Villamin,” “Xiaome Ocho” at “Jay Camote”—mga pangalan na tila peke at nagdulot ng pagdududa sa pagiging totoo ng mga transaksyon.

“These are not political narratives but findings backed by audit observations and sworn testimonies,” ani Adiong.

Dagdag pa niya: “The Vice President should stop diverting attention from her own accountability. The impeachment trial is fast approaching, and it is in the Senate where the truth will be laid bare.”
