SUPORTADO ng Kamara de Representantes ang Agenda for Prosperity ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

Ayon kay Speaker Martin G. Romualdez aaprubahan ng Kamara ang mga kailangang panukalang batas para matupad ang inaasam na pag-unlad ng bansa.

Sa kanyang pagsasalita sa 2022 Asia CEO Forum na ginanap sa Marriott Hotel sa Pasay City, sinabi ni Romualdez na kokonsultahin ng Kamara ang mga negosyante sa kanilang mga isusulong na panukala.

“As stakeholders, you will be consulted in every measure that we tackle, especially those involving commerce and industry. Please make your positions very clear on the issues…as I want all stakeholders heard before we pass these measures,” sabi ni Romualdez.

Sinabi ni Marcos na ang prosperity blueprint ng administrasyon ay nakasentro sa pagbabago ng ekonomiya kung sana kasama ang lahat.

Ayon sa Speaker agad na pinagtibay ng Kongreso ang Concurrent Resolution No. 2 o ang Medium-Term Fiscal Framework (MTTF) at 8-point socio-economic plan ng administrasyon na siyang roadmap ng Agenda for Prosperity.

“For the first time, the country has a clear six-year agenda with clearly defined goals,” giit ni Romualdez.

Nagsisimula na umanong maramdaman ang epekto ng socio-economic development masterplan ng administrasyon at patunay dito ang paglago ng ekonomiya ng 7.6 porsyento sa ikatlong quarter ng taon.

“These encouraging figures strengthen our resolve, as lawmakers, to remain fully committed in supporting the Agenda for Prosperity with the necessary legislative measures,” dagdag pa ni Romualdez.

Itutuon umano ng Kamara ang atensyon nito sa pagpaparami ng produksyon ng bansa upang mapabilis ang pag-angat ng ekonomiya.

Sinabi ni Romualdez na laman ng P5.268 trilyong budget na ipinasa ng Kamara ang mga programa na magpapalago sa ekonomiya.

“Following our participation at the ASEAN Summit in Cambodia and at the APEC meetings in Thailand where I joined the President, we in Congress are likewise determined to further study needed refinements in our laws, regulations and government policies so as to further attract foreign investments and create more jobs for Filipinos,” dagdag pa ng lider ng Kamara.

Sinabi rin ni Romualdez sa mga negosyante na naaprubahan na ng Kamara ng huling bahagi ng Comprehensive Tax Reform Package na magpapasimple sa pagbubukas sa passive income at financial services gayundin ang buwis sa single-use plastic bags, non-resident digital service providers, at ang panukalang Ease of Paying Taxes Act.

Kamakailan ay naging batas na rin ang panukalang SIM Registration na makatutulong upang pagkatiwalaan at mapalakas ang digital economy.

Ipapasa rin umano ng Kamara ang e-Governance bill na magpapatatag sa digital economy.
