Kamara target aprubahan P5.768-T 2024 budget bago ang recess ng sesyon

NAKATAKDANG simulan sa plenaryo ng Kamara de Representantes sa Martes ang deliberasyon ng panukalang P5.768 trilyong national budget para sa susunod na taon.

Sinabi ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez ngayong Linggo na target ng Kamara na maipasa sa ikatlo at huling pagbasa ang panukalang budget ng administrasyong Marcos bago ang recess ng sesyon sa huling linggo ng buwan.

Ayon kay Speaker Romualdez agad na ipadadala ang kopya sa Senado kapag naisapinal ito ng Kamara.

“We will work morning and afternoon and on Thursday and Friday this week to meet our timeline. The national spending bill is the single most important piece of legislation Congress passes every year,” ani Speaker Romualdez.

Ayon sa lider ng 311 miyembro ng Kamara ang budget ay makatutulong upang maabot ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang prosperity and economic recovery roadmap nito.

“Through the national budget, we hope to sustain our recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic, create more income and job opportunities for our people, and improve their quality of life through the timely delivery of basic social services like education, healthcare, infrastructure, and financial aid,” dagdag pa ni Speaker Romualdez.

Ang debate sa plenaryo sa Martes ay sisimulan sa pamamagitan ng mga sponsorship speech at susundan ng debate sa general principles and provisions ng panukalang budget.

Nakatakda ring talakayin ang mga budget ng Department of Finance, Department of Tourism, National Economic and Development Authority, kasama ang mga ahensya sa ilalim nito at mga piling tanggapan sa ilalim ng Office of the President (OP).

Sa Miyerkoles ay sasalang naman ang mga panukalang budget ng Office of the Ombudsman, Commission on Elections, Commission on Human Rights, Department of National Defense, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Trade and Industry, at ilan pang ahensya sa ilalim ng OP.

Sa Huwebes ay tatalakayin naman ang panukalang budget ng Judiciary, Department of Justice, Department of Agrarian Reform, Presidential Communications Office, Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, at state universities and colleges.

Sa Biyernes naman sasalang ang budget ng Kongreso, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Information and Communications Technology, Department of Migrant Workers, Department of Labor and Employment, at Department of Interior and Local Government, kasama ang attached agencies ng mga ito.

Sa Setyembre 25 ay sasalang naman ang mga panukalang budget ng Civil Service Commission, Commission on Audit, Department of Energy, Department of Agriculture, Department of Health, at ilan pang ahensya sa ilalim ng OP.

Ang panukalang budget ng OP, Office of the Vice President, Department of Education, Metro Manila Development Authority, at Dangerous Drugs Board at ilan pang ahensya sa ilalim ng OP, Department of Public Works and Highways, at Department of Environment and Natural Resources.

Sa Setyembre 27 naman ay sasalang ang Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Transportation, Department of Budget and Management, at ang mga lump-sum funds.

Susundan ito ng mga Turno en contra speech at mga panukalang amyenda bago aprubahan sa ikalawa at ikatlong pagbasa. (END)
