IBINIGAY ni Speaker Martin G. Romualdez kay British Ambassador to the Philippines Laure Beaufils ang kopya ng resolusyon na pinagtibay ng Kamara de Representantes na nakikiramay at nakikisimpatya kay King Charles III, sa royal family, at sa mga taga-United Kingdom of Great Britain at Northern Ireland sa pagpanaw ni Queen Elizabeth II.

Ang kopya ng House Resolution No. 12 ay ibinigay ni Romualdez kay Beaufis sa isang simpleng seremonya na ginanap sa Office of the Speaker sa Batasan Complex.

“People around the world remember Queen Elizabeth II with deep respect and great affection for dedicating her life serving her nation. She never failed to show the importance of lasting values in a modern world through her service and commitment,” sabi ni Romualdez.

Ang House Resolution 12 ay pinagtibay ng Kamara noong Setyembre 12.

Ang resolusyon ay inakda nina Romualdez, House Majority Leader at Zamboanga City Rep. Manuel Jose “Mannix” M. Dalipe, House Minority Leader at 4Ps party-list Rep. Marcelino Libanan, Senior Deputy Majority Leader at Ilocos Norte Rep. Ferdinand Alexander A. Marcos, Tingog party-list Reps. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez at Jude A. Acidre.

“The passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, a cherished sovereign, and a beneficent ruler, will be deeply felt by the Royal Family, the people throughout the United Kingdom, the realms, and the Commonwealth for whom she devoted the greatest part of her life to serve, and by countless people around world who witnessed and admired her reign as a great monarch who served her people well,” sab sa resolusyon.

Si Queen Elizabeth II ay pumanaw noong Setyembre 8, 2022 sa edad na 96.

Naulila sa kanyang pagpanaw ang mga anak na sina King Charles III, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew at Prince Edward, walong apo at 12 great-grandchildren.

Siya ay ikinasal kay Prince Philip Mountbatten, Duke of Edinburgh noong Nobyembre 20, 1947 sa Westminster Abbey sa London.

Si Queen Elizabeth II ay ipinanganak noong Abril 21, 1926 sa Mayfair, London. Siya ay anak nina Prince Albert, Duke of York, na naging si King George VI, at Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, na kilala bilang Queen Mother.

Siya ay kinoronahang Queen Elizabeth II noong Hunyo 2, 1953 matapos na pumanaw ang kanyang ama noong Pebrero 6, 1952. Siya noon ay 25 taong gulang.
