MAGLALABAS ang Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) ng special permit para madagdagan ang mga bumibiyaheng public utility vehicles (PUVs) sa Holy Week kung kailan inaasahan na marami ang bibiyahe.

Ayon sa Board Resolution No. 009, ang ilalabas na special permit ay mayroong validity na Marso 31, hanggang Abril 17, 2023.

Mas mahaba ito kumpara sa naunang resolusyon na inilabas ng LTFRB na ang validity at Abril 2 hanggang Abril 11, 2023.

Ginawa ng LTFRB ang hakbang matapos na ideklara ng Malacañang na special non-working holiday ang Abril 10 para sa pagdiriwang ng Araw ng Kagitingan.

“With the five-day break, it will give more Filipinos the chance to spend more time with their families in the provinces and for spiritual reflection during the Holy Week. That is why the Board decided to change the duration of Special Permits so that the commuting public is assured of sufficient supply of public transportation that would take them to their destination,” sabi ni LTFRB Chairman Teofilo Guadiz III.
