WALANG kinalaman ang Palasyo ng Malakanyang sa inihaing impeachment complaint ng ibat ibang advocacy groups laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte.

Ayon kay Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, malinaw ang pahayag ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na pag-aaksaya lamang ng panahon ang pagpapatalsik sa puwesto kay Duterte.

Gayunman, sinabi ni Bersamin na karapatan ng isang pribadong indibidwal ang maghain ng impeachment complaint.

Karapatan din aniya ng isang mambabatas na iindorso ang reklamo.

“The impeachment complaint filed in the House of Representatives by several private citizens is clearly the complainants’ independent initiative, and its endorsement the prerogative of any Member of the House of Representatives. The Office of the President has nothing to do with it,” pahayag ni Bersamin.

“The President’s earlier statement on the matter is unambiguous,” pahayag ni Bersamin.

Ibat ibang advocacy groups, civil society organizations, religious leaders, sectoral leaders at mga pamilya ng biktima ng extrajudicial killings ang naghain ng impeachment complaint sa Secretary General’s Office sa House of Representatives sa Quezon City.

Agad itong inindorso ni Akbayan Party-list Rep. Perci Cendaña.

Kasong bribery, graft and corruption, betrayal of public trust, culpable violations ng Konstitusyon at iba pang high crimes ang isinampang impeachment complaint laban kay Duterte.
