NAKIPAGSANIB-PUWERSA ang Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) sa Subscription Video-on-Demand (SVOD) giant na Netflix upang palakasin ang Responsableng Panonood (Responsible Viewership) sa mga Pinoy subscribers.

“This is a culmination of the efforts of the Board and our partners in Netflix who we have been in constant dialogue with,” sabi ni MTRCB Chairperson Lala Sotto-Antonio.

Layunin ng partnership na tiyakin na magiging age-appropriate and napapanood sa iba’t ibang platform gaya ng smart TV, web-based, at mobile devices.

“Here at the MTRCB, we look after the well-being of Filipino viewers of all ages, which is why safeguards must be in place to prevent young children from being exposed to content that is not appropriate for their age,” dagdag pa ni Sotto-Antonio.

Paiigtingin ng Netflix ang paggamit ng in-app Parental Controls na maaaring lagyan ng PIN Code ng mga magulang upang ang mapanood lamang ng mga bata ay ang mga palabas na angkop sa kanilang edad.

Umasa ang MTRCB na susunod ang iba pang streaming providers sa pakikipagtulungan sa ahensya.
