PARA mahikayat ang mga Filipino na isulong ang peace agenda, pangungunahan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr ang selebrasyon ng National Peace Conciousness month sa Setyembre 2.

Ayon kay Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU) Director for Communications and Public Affairs Services Darwin Wally Wee, pangungunahan din ni Pangulong Marcos ang pag alala sa 1996 Final Peace Agreement sa pagitan ng gobyerno at Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF).

Inaasahan naman aniya na makikiisa rin sa pagdiriwang ang mga lider ng MNLF sa agendang kapayapaan ng Pangulo sa Bangsamoro.

Ang Proclamation No. 675 ay inisyu ni dating Pangulomg Gloria Arroyo at dineklara ang buwan ng Setyembre bilang National Peace Consciousness Month.

Tema sa pagdiriwang ngayon taon ay “Transforming Minds, Transforming Lives”.

“So, at the center of the implementation of the peace agreements is the transformation of the lives of the former combatants, their families and their communities po,” ayon pa kay Wee.
