KUMPIYANSA si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa kakayanan ng mga dating heneral na kinuha nito sa kanyang Gabiniete.

Ayon kay Pangulong Marcos si dating Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año na itinalaga nitong National Security Adviser (NSA) ay mayroong malawak na kakayanan sa pangangalap ng intelligence report.

“Before he became Chief of Staff, before he became group commander, he was with ISAFP (Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines). So sanay na sanay ‘yun and he’s well-known, and he knows all of the operatives in the intelligence community,” ani Pangulong Marcos.

Sa pagtatalaga naman kay Gen. Andres Centino bilang chief of staff ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), sinabi ng Pangulo na ito ay isang pagkilala sa seniority ng mga opisyal.

“Kasi nira-rationalize namin ‘yung seniority… Andy Centino has four stars and Bob Bacarro had three stars. So kailangan natin ayusin kasi magkakagulo doon sa baba,” sabi ng Pangulo.

“So tiningnan namin, ‘What do you want us to do?’ Nagtanong kami sa military and I said ayusin namin ‘yung seniority and that’s what we’ve done,” dagdag pa ng Pangulo.

Malawak din umano ang karanasan sa peace and order ng bagong talagang kalihim ng Department of National Defense na si Carlito Galvez.

“Well, ‘yan isa pa. Very, very experienced, and in fact as soon as he took his oath, he was already… he knew already what to do. Nag-command conference na siya. So I think he’ll slide into that position really easily,” sabi pa ng Pangulo. Nina RYAN PONCE PACPACO & ROY PELOVELLO
