PBBM nireorganisa Nat’l Security Council
NIREORGANISA ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang National Security Council (NSC).
Base sa Executive Order (EO) No. 81 na may petsang Disyembre 30, 2024, hindi na kasama bilang miyembro ng NSC ang Bise Presidente at mga dating presidente na buhay.
“There is a need to further guarantee that the NSC remains a resilient national security institution, capable of adapting to evolving challenges and opportunities both domestically and internationally, and to ensure that its council members uphold and protect national security and sovereignty, thereby fostering an environment conducive to effective governance and stability,” saad ng tatlong pahinang EO.
Dahil sa reorganisasyon, bubuuin na ang NSC executive committee ng Presidente, Executive Secretary, Senate President o kanyang kinatawan, House Speaker, National Security Adviser, at ang mga kalihim ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of National Defense (DND) at Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Magsisilbi pa ring chairman ng council ang Presidente ng Pilipinas at miyembro ang Senate President, House Speaker, Senate President Pro-tempore, tatlong deputy speakers na itinalaga ng House Speaker, Senate Majority at Minority floor leaders, at House Majority at Minority floor leaders.
Kasama rin ang mga chairman ng Senate committee on foreign relations; Senate committee on national defense and security, peace, unification and reconciliation; Senate committee on public order and dangerous drugs; House committee on foreign affairs; House committee on national defense and security; at House committee on public order and safety.
Gayundin, kasama sa council ang Executive Secretary; National Security Adviser; mga kalihim ng DFA, DOJ, DND, DILG at Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE); Presidential Communications Office (PCO); Chief Presidential Legal Counsel; Presidential Legislative Liaison Office head; at iba pang government officials at private citizens.
Maaaring dumalo sa pulong ng NSC ang director-general ng National Intelligence Coordinating Agency, Chief of Staff ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Chief ng Philippine National Police (PNP) at director ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
Maaaring imbitahin sa pagpupulong ang governor ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).
