PALALAKASIN umano ng pagbisita ni Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim sa Pilipinas ang relasyon ng dalawang bansa.

Ito ang sinabi ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa isang dinner para kay Ibrahim.

“I view the Prime Minister’s visit as a rekindling of an old friendship and old bond that took millennia to make, between neighbors and ASEAN founding members, whose people have interacted and traded for centuries before they even knew the concept of countries,” ani Pangulong Marcos.

“More importantly, I view this visit as a reaffirmation of our shared commitment to revitalize our bilateral relations,” sabi pa ng Pangulo.

Ayon pa sa Pangulo malaki ang potensyal na mas mapalakas ang kalakalan ng Pilipinas at Malaysia sa pagbisita ni Ibrahim.

“I further express my hope that this warm kinship between us, as leaders, will set the tone of the bilateral relations between our governments, countries and people, in the years to come,” dagdag pa ni Pangulong Marcos

Si Ibrahim ang unang official guest ng Pangulo, na patunay umano ng kahalagahan ng relasyon ng Pilipinas at Malaysia.
