PBBM walang kinalaman sa coup sa Senado
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Brunei — Walang kamay si Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa pagtanggal kay dating Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri.
Sa Kapihan with the media sa Brunei, inamin ni Pangulong Marcos na batid niya na papalitan siya ni Senador Francis Escudero.
“I guess if you are Senate President, the only power that be is the President. So, I am not sure what he is referring to, if there is a specific instance or just as a general principle. I don’t know. I have not spoken to him about it,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
Ayon sa Pangulo, hindi niya alam kung ano ang sinasabi ni Zubiri na utos sa kanya na hindi niya nagawa.
“So, it’s hard for me to answer simply because I am not sure what he’s referring to because what instructions could that be that hindi niya natapos. Yes, that’s still unclear to me what he is referring to,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
Ayon kay Pangulong Marcos, nalaman na lamang niya na napalitan na ang liderato sa Senado nang tanungin kung ano ang kanyang reaksyon.
“I did not speak to any party at any point simply because I am out of town. If you remember, on that day, nung umaga I was asked if I will make a statement on the change of leadership and I said “bakit nag-change na ba?” Sabi niya: “Well, merong gumagalaw.” And when I landed back in Manila about 3 0r 4 in the afternoon, tsaka lang, tapos na, nag change na, nag step down na si Senator Migz. That’s how I was basically informed every step of the way. But it moved so quickly as well,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
Sa kabila nito, sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos na may tiwala pa rin naman siya kay Zubiri.
“Sure. Of course. The decision. The decision to change the leadership was not made by me. It was made by the Senate. So that does not reflect my view on Senator Migz and the trust and confidence that in my view that I have for him,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
Sabi ni Pangulong Marcos, hindi naman sa kanya ang desisyon na magpalit ng liderato kundi sa mga senador kaya hindi magbabago ang pagtingin niya sa dating senate president.
