NANAWAGAN si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa publiko na i-report ang mga hindi sumusunod sa price ceiling na itinakda sa bigas.

“I would encourage anyone who finds that someone or a retailer is selling at above the price ceiling, i-report po ninyo, i-report ninyo sa pulis, i-report ninyo doon sa DA, doon sa lugar ninyo, i-report ninyo sa local government para matingnan po namin at tiyakin na hindi lalampas doon sa ating presyo na linagay na 40 pesos at saka 44 pesos,” ani Pangulong Marcos.

Ayon sa Executive Order (EO) No. 39, ang presyo ng regular-milled rice ay hinidi dapat lumagpas ng P41 kada kilo samantalang ang well-milled rice ay hanggang P45 ang kilo.

Sinabi ng Pangulo na patuloy din ang gagawing pagbabantay ng mga ahensya ng gobyerno sa presyo ng bigas.

Ang inatasan na magbantay ng presyo kaugnay ng inilabas na price ceiling ay ang Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Bureau of Customs (BOC), Philippine National Police (PNP) at iba pang law enforcement agency.

“Because all of those agencies already have regular inspections when it comes to other issues. So, they will now apply the price ceilings that I have ordered in the EO that I signed yesterday (Aug. 31), to make sure the prices stay within the limits that we have prescribed,” dagdag pa ng Pangulo.

Malaking atensyon umano ang itutuon sa National Capital Region (NCR) kung saan mas mahal ang bigas kumpara sa ibang lugar.
