PCO lalagda ng kasunduan para labanan fake news
LALAGDA ng kasunduan ang Presidential Communications Office (PCO) kasama ang iba’t ibang ahensya ng gobyerno upang maglungsad ng kampanya laban sa disinformation at misinformation.
Ayon kay PCO ipatutupad nito ang Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Campaign Project ng Marcos administration.
“(MIL is) the administration’s response to the disinformation and misinformation plaguing the country’s digital landscape, focusing on capacitating the youth to become more discerning consumers of media,” sabi ng PCO.
Makakasama ng PCO sa kasunduan ang Department of Education (DepEd), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), at Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Ang paglagda ng Memorandum of Understanding ay gagawin sa Lunes, Agosto 14, 2023 sa Pasay City.
Inaasahan din umano na makikipagtulungan sa gobyerno ang mga social media company sa paglaban sa disinformation at misinformation.
