IBIBIDA ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang Pilipinas sa mga global leader at top chief executive officer (CEOs) sa World Economic Forum (WEF) sa Davos, Switzerland.

“So the President will be leading our economic team composed of government officials and business leaders and we will present the country’s economic performance which tops growth in the region before an audience of international CEOs,” sabi ni Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Undersecretary Carlos Sorreta.

Ayon kay Sorreta ang WEF pa rin ang premyadong forum kung saan paguusapan ng mga lider ng iba’t ibang bansa at mga negosyante ang mga plano at mga hamon na kinakaharap ng ekonomiya ng mundo.

“The President goes to Davos at a time when our country and our region is recovering well from past challenges, where projections remain high for economic growth in our country and our region,” sabi ni Sorreta.

“And we have [a] realization in our region that individual and collective economic potential remains great, and there’s a lot of hope and optimism. So it’s a good time for our country… representing our country and our region to be in Davos at this time,” dagdag pa ng opisyal ng DFA.

Lalahok din umano ang Pangulo sa high-level dialogue session kasama ng mga lider gaya ng Pangulo ng South Africa, Prime Minister ng Belgium, at Pangulo ng European Commission.
