HINIKAYAT ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang anim na Filipino para-athletes na sasabak sa 2024 Paris Paralympics.
Best of luck ang hangad ni Pangulong Marcos sa anim na Paralumpians.
“Compete with the heart of Filipino warriors, and show the world the strength of our people. We are all immensely proud of you. Best of luck, and mabuhay ang Team Pilipinas,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
Kabilang sa mga sasabak sina Taekwondo jin Allain Ganapin, swimmers Angel Mae Otom at Ernie Gawilan, track and field athletes Jerrold Mangliwan at Cendy Asusano, at ang archer na si Agustina Bantiloc. Sila ang magre-representa sa Pilipinas sa 17th Paralympic Games sa Paris, France.
Hindi pa man sumasabak, sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos na “already champions in our eyes” ang anim na atleta.
“Your commitment to your training as elite athletes, despite challenges you face, exemplifies the spirit of the Filipino people,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
“No accolade, praise, or reward can truly return the pride you bring to our country. As you take on the world stage at Paralympics, remember that the whole nation is with you, supporting you every step of the way,” dagdag ng Pangulo.
Matatandaang sa mensahe ni Pangulong Marcos noong National Heroes’ Day, sinaluduhan nito ang mga Filipino Paralympians.
