QCPD to deploy 1,595 cops for Yuletide
THE Quezon City Police District (QCPD) will deploy 1,595 personnel to ensure security and public safety during the celebration of Yuletide.
About 2,363 force multipliers, composed of BPAT/barangay tanods, private security agencies, non government organizations and civilian volunteer organizations will also be deployed to augment police personnel in securing various areas throughout the city, said PCol. Melecio Buslig Jr., the QCPD acting director.
The deployed personnel will be assigned to 246 places of convergence, including places of worship, major thoroughfares, bus terminals, MRT/LRT stations, malls, markets, supermarkets/grocery stores, community firecracker zones (CFZ), firecracker display areas (FDA) and other key locations to ensure a safe, secure, and meaningful celebration of the Yuletide for everyone.
Additionally, 2,915 deployable equipment will be made available, including motorcycles, mobile cars, personnel carriers, buses, bicycles, trucks, ambulances, base and handheld radios, body-worn cameras (BWCs), drones, and CDM equipment.
These resources will further enhance the QCPD’s ability to effectively monitor and respond to any situation.
“Ang deployment na ito patunay ng ating dedikasyon na tiyakin ang kaligtasan ng mga Qcitizens at masiguro ang maayos na selebrasyon ng Kapaskuhan at Bagong Taon.
Sa panahong ito, kinakailangan paigtingin ang police visibility ng ating mga kapulisan para maiwasan ang pananamantala ng mga kriminal na makagawa ng krimen,” PCol. Buslig said.
