NANANATILI umanong matatag ang relasyon ng Pilipinas at Estados Unidos at patunay dito ang pagkikita nina Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. at US Vice President Kamala Harris.

Pumunta si Harris sa Malacañang upang mag-courtesy call kay Marcos noong Lunes.

“The relationship between the Philippines and the United States is a long and enduring one. It is one relationship that is strong for so many reasons. It is the long-standing relationship in terms of the people-to-people ties,” sabi ni Harris kay Marcos.

Si Harris ang pinakamataas na opisyal ng Amerika na bumisita sa bansa sa ilalim ng administrasyong Marcos.

“The basis of our relationship is multifaceted. Our relationship is based on mutual commitment to the economic prosperity of the region and our respective nations,” sabi ni Harris.

Sinabi naman ni Marcos na mahalaga ang relasyon ng Pilipinas at Amerika.

“Your visit is a very strong symbol that these relationships remain strong, that these relationships remain important as indeed they do. The Filipino, I have said many times, I do not see a future for the Philippines that does not include the United States,” ani Marcos.

Dumating si Harris sa Pilipinas noong Linggo kasama ang kanyang mister na si Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff.
