PINASALAMATAN ni Aklan Rep. Teodorico Haresco Jr., si Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez sa agarang pagsaklolo nito sa mga residente ng kanyang lugar.

Ayon kay Haresco nagpadala si Romualdez at LPGMA party-list Rep. Allan Ty ng cash at food assistance sa may 11,214 pamilya sa Aklan na naapektuhan ng pagbaha at landslide dulot ng bagyong Paeng.

“We are grateful to Speaker Romualdez and LPGMA Party-list Rep. Ty, both trusted colleagues and reliable leaders in the House of Representatives, for their compassion and speedy response to the situation of Aklanons,” sabi ni Haresco.

Sinabi ni Haresco na marami ang na-stranded sa bayan ng Numancia matapos umapaw ang Aklan River.

Isinara na rin ng DPWH ang Kalibo bridge na nagtamo umano ng mga pinsala dahil sa lakas ng tubig.

Nagdeklara na ng state of calamity ang lalawigan ng Aklan dahil sa laki ng pinaslang naidulot ng bagyo.

“These are difficult times for Aklanons but with the continuous and generous support from both public and private entities and partners, I am hopeful that the good province of Aklan will be able to recover and see the light at the end of the storm,” dagdag pa ni Haresco.

Nagpasalamat din ang mambabatas sa Department of Health, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Senator Bong Revilla, Starbucks Philippines, at Gokongwei group of companies sa pahpapadala ng tulong sa kanyang mga kababayan.
