‘Malinis ang aking konsensiya’

SINABI ni dating Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez ng Leyte nitong Biyernes na siya ay lubos na nakipagtulungan sa Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) at nananatiling kumpiyansa na walang credible evidence na nag-uugnay sa kanya sa anumang maling gawain.

“I willingly submitted myself to the ICI’s fact-finding process, appeared voluntarily, and remained in the country. Throughout all these proceedings, no sworn or credible evidence has ever linked me to any irregularity, and again, my conscience remains clear,” ani Romualdez sa isang statement na binasa ni Atty. Ade Fajardo, ang abogado/tagapagsalita ng dating Speaker.

Ang pahayag ay inilabas matapos magsumite ang Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ng joint referral report kasama ang ICI sa Ombudsman nitong Biyernes na nagrerekomenda ng pagsasampa ng kaso laban kina Romualdez at dating Ako Bicol Rep. Zaldy Co.

Sinabi ni Romualdez na ngayon ay lubos siyang nagtitiwala sa susunod na yugto ng proseso.
