KINUHA ni incoming President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. si Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III bilang Chairman at Resident Representative ng Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO).
Si Bello ay itinalagang kalihim ng Department of Labor and Employment ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte noong 2016.
Siya ay dating acting Secretary ng Department of Justice at Solicitor General sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni dating Pangulong Fidel Ramos.
Si Bello ay naging Cabinet Secretary naman ni dating Pangulong at come backing Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
Matapos ang termino ni Arroyo, si Bello ay naging party-list Representative mula 2013 hanggang 2016.
