KINONDENA ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez ang pananambang sa convoy ni Lanao del Sur Gov. Mamintal Adiong, Jr. na nagresulta sa pagkamatay ng apat na security detail nito at ikinasugat ng isa pa.

“I strongly condemn this assassination attempt on Gov. Adiong, which left four of his security details dead. This senseless act of violence has no place in a civilized society like ours,” sabi ni Speaker Romualdez.

Nanawagan si Speaker Romualdez sa mga otoridad na agad tukuyin ang nasa likod ng pananambang na nangyari sa kalsada sa pagitan ng mga bayan ng Maguing at Amai Manabilang noong Biyernes. Patungo ang convoy ng gubernador sa bayan ng Wao.

“I want the gunmen identified and whoever is the mastermind unmasked. I want them all to be placed behind bars and brought to the bar of justice as soon as possible,” ani Speaker Romualdez.

“I call on our law enforcement agencies: waste no time in running after the perpetrators of this dastardly crime. They need to restore peace and order in the province immediately,” dagdag pa ng lider ng Kamara.

Nagpahayag din ng pakikiramay si Speaker Romualdez sa pamilya ng mga nasawi at nangako na magbibigay ng tulong sa mga ito.

“I grieve with the families of those who were killed and I pray for the safety and speedy recovery of our dear governor. We, in the Lakas-CMD, will extend all assistance necessary,” sabi pa ni Speaker.

Si Gov. Adiong ang vice president for BARMM ng Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD), ang partidong pinamumunuan ni Speaker Romualdez.

Kapatid ng gubernador si Zia Adiong na kasalukuyang kinatawan ng Lanao del Sur.
