SA pagdiriwang ng Mother’s Day ng Linggo, nagbigay-pugay si Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez sa mga ina, na kanyang itinuring bilang puso ng bawat tahanang Pilipino at tahimik na tagapanday ng kinabukasan ng bayan.

“Today, we celebrate the heart of every Filipino home—our mothers, who love without conditions, lead without recognition, and uplift others even when weary,” ayon kay Speaker Romualdez, pinuno ng 306-kinatawan ng Kamara de Representantes.

“Across the country and worldwide, mothers serve as our first teachers, tireless providers, and unwavering sources of courage in times of uncertainty. They persevere in every hardship, remain grounded in love, and sacrifice in every triumph,” ayon pa sa lider ng Kamara.

Ibinahagi rin ni Speaker Romualdez ang naging impluwensiya ng kanyang ina na si Juliette G. Romualdez sa kanyang buhay at pagseserbisyo publiko.

“I am forever guided by the example of my mother, Mama Juliette, whose grace, wisdom, and resilience have shaped my values and deepened my commitment to public service. Her belief in the power of compassion continues to inspire me each day,” saad pa niya.

Ipinahayag din niya ang kanyang paghanga sa kanyang maybahay na si Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda K. Romualdez, bilang isang ulirang ina at tapat na tagapaglingkod ng bayan.

“I also draw strength from my wife, Yedda—a devoted mother and dedicated public servant—whose care for our children and steadfast service to the Filipino people reflect the very best of what leadership truly means: selfless, strong, and visionary,” ani Speaker Romualdez.

Ipinaabot din ni Speaker Romualdez ang kanyang mensahe para sa lahat ng inang Pilipina—nasa loob man ng tahanan, nagtatrabaho sa ibang bansa, o patuloy na lumalaban sa gitna ng mga pagsubok—at binigyang-diin ang napakahalagang papel nila sa paghubog at pagpapaunlad ng bansa.

“To all Filipino mothers—whether caring for children at home, working far from their families, or guiding loved ones through life’s most significant challenges—this day is for you. Mothers are the silent architects of our nation’s future,” aniya.

Iginiit pa ng lider ng Kamara na sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., ang layunin ng “Bagong Pilipinas” ay may malinaw na hakbang para matulungan at maitaguyod ang kapakanan ng mga nanay, bilang pagkilala sa kanilang kahalagahan sa pamilya at sa lipunan.

“Bagong Pilipinas of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is our promise to build a country that honors mothers through words and action. We will ensure their sacrifices are recognized and rewarded through better laws, stronger protections, and a more compassionate government,” diin pa ng mambabatas.
