Speaker Romualdez, Zubiri nag-usap tungkol sa constitutional reform
NAGKAUSAP sina Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez at Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri kaugnay ng panukalang pag-amyenda sa Konstitusyon.
“I had the privilege of talking with the Senate President over the phone today, and we conversed briefly on the topic of Constitutional reforms,” ani Speaker Romualdez.
Tiniyak umano ni Zubiri kay Speaker Romualdez na pananatilihing nitong bukas ang kanyang isip sa panukala ng Kamara de Representantes na pag-amyenda sa economic provision ng Konstitusyon.
“He informed me that the Senate is awaiting for the report of their Committee on Constitutional Amendments and Revision of Codes chaired by Sen. Robinhood Padilla, for appropriate plenary action,” sabi ni Speaker Romualdez.
Sinabi rin umano ni Zubiri na nais ng kanyang mga kapwa senador na ipagpaliban ang ipinatawag na pagdinig bukas, Marso 20.
“I trust that other senators will continue to join SP Migz in keeping their mind open on amending restrictive economic provisions of the Constitution,” dagdag pa ni Speaker Romualdez.
Naaprubahan na ng Kamara sa ikatlo at huling pagbasa ang dalawang panukala kaugnay ng pagbabago ng Saligang Batas. Hinihintay ang aksyon ng Senado rito upang umusad.
