Tokyo Olympians pararangalan ng PSA

BIBIGYAN ng kaukulang parangal ang 19 na atletang Pilipino sa nakalipas na Tokyo Olympics sa gaganaping San Miguel Corporation-Philippine Sportswriters Association (SMC-PSA) Annual Awards Night sa Diamond Hotel sa Marso 24.

Ang mga nasabing Olympians ay kinabibilangan nina skateboarder Margielyn Didal, boxer Irish Magno, golfers Bianca Pagdanganan at Juvic Pagunsan, weightlifter Elreen Ando, trackster

Kristina Knott, swimmers Remedy Rule at Luke Gebbie, judoka Kiyomi Watanabe, rower Cris Nievarez, taekwondo jin Kurt Barbosa, at shooter Jayson Valdez.

Kikilalanin din ng PSA sina swimmers Ernie Gawilan at Gary Bejino, wheelchair racer Jerrold Mangliwan, taekwondo jin Allain Ganapin, trackster Jeanette Aceveda at powerlifter Achelle Guion, na pawang sumabak sa Tokyo Paralympics.

Sinama din sa listahan sina weightlifter Vanessa Sarno, na nanalo ng dalawang gold medals at isang silver sa women’s 71 kg division ng Asian Women’s Championships sa Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Makakasama nilang pararangalan ang mga kapwa Olympians na sina gold medal winner Hidilyn Diaz, na napiling PSA Athlete of the Year; Yuka Saso at Carlos Yulo, na tatanggap ng President’s

Award; at Nesthy Petecio, Carlo Paalam, Eumir Felix Marcial at EJ Obiena, na may major awards.

Major awardee din sa nasabing awards night na sinusuportahan ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Philippine Olympic Committee (POC), at Cignal TV si US Open men’s billiards champion Carlo Biado.

Sinabi ni PSA president na Rey Lachica na ang lahat ng awardees, athletes, officials, guests, at PSA members ay kailangang magpakita ng kanilang vaccination card para makapasok sa event venue.

Ang awards night ay itinataguyod din ng MILO, 1Pacman, Philippine Basketball Association, Philracom, Rain or Shine, ICTSI, Chooks To Go, MVP Sports Foundation, at Smart.
