VP Sara hinimok mga kompanya na tumanggap ng K-12 grad
HINIMOK ni Vice President at Education Secretary Sara Duterte ang mga pribadong kompanya na kumuha ng empleyado na hindi nakapagkolehiyo.
Ayon kay Duterte masyadong nakatuon sa diploma ang batayan sa pagkuha ng empleyado at dapat itong mabago.
“This is a comment from the CHED (Commission on Higher Education) that there is a diploma mentality in our country. Kailangan ba’ng graduate ng four years college ang mga ine-employ ng ating mga industries?” sabi ni Duterte sa kanyang talumpati sa 48th Business Conference ng Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry na ginanap sa Manila Hotel.
Sinabi ni Duterte na gumagawa ng mga hakbang ang Department of Education (DepEd) upang masiguro na mayroong angkop na kakayanan para magtrabaho ang mga magtatapos ng K-12 program.
“The Department of Education is already working on how to make our Grades 11-12 ready for work and are skilled-ready when they graduate from the K-12 program because the only mandatory education that is required is basic education — and that is kindergarten to grade 12,” dagdag pa ni Duterte.
Kinilala rin ni Duterte ang malaking bahagi ng business sector sa pagpapa-unlad ng ekonomiya ng bansa.
Malaki rin umano ang naitutulong nito sa pagpapabuti ng serbisyo publiko.
“These days, I am happy to share that the private sector has once again come to our aid,” dagdag pa ng ikalawang pangulo. “ These are in the form of classroom building construction, teacher training, school grants, student competitions and awards including robotics and ICT talent competitions, nutrition education, school supplies distribution, reading materials, school preparedness advocacy, security, and mental health resources.”
