131 stolen vehicles nabawi ng PNP-HPG
NAKA-recover ang Philippine National Police–Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) ng 131 na ninakaw na sasakyan mula Sept. 1 hanggang Sept. 30, ayon kay Col. Hansel Marantan, hepe ng PNP-HPG.
Binubuo ang mga narekover ng 94 motor vehicles at 37 motorsiklo. Umabot naman sa 44 na suspek sa carnapping ang naaresto, ayon sa PNP-HPG.
Sa naturang buwan, umabot sa 17,353 police operations ang inilunsad.
“This is the fulfillment of the President’s call—not only are we guarding, but we are acting decisively to ensure that every road is safe.
The HPG stands as proof that there is no place for crime and lawlessness in our country,” ayon kay PNP chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr.
Nasa 7,063 violators ng seatbelt law, 14,111 violators ng helmet law, 34,681 para sa mga traffic violations at 187 na gumagamit ng crash helmets na walang ICC sticker ang nahuli ng PNP-HPG.
Libu-libong illegal devices gaya ng sirena, blinkers, modified mufflers, unauthorized plates and strobe lights ang nakumpiska ng PNP-HPG noong Setyembre.
“We are focused on making our roads safer for everyone. The fight against carnapping and traffic violations continues, and we will keep enforcing the law firmly,” paliwanag ni PNP spokesperson BGen. Randolf Tuano.
