Nakabalik na sa bansa si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. matapos dumalo sa 40th at 41st Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summits sa Cambodia.

Dumating si Marcos at ang kanyang delegasyon alas-12:14 ng umaga. Siya ay sinalubong ni Vice President Sara Duterte.

Bago umuwi ay binisita ni Marcos ang Filipino community sa Cambodia.

“I was honored to meet them, and I thanked them for their efforts and contribution to our nation’s progress and development— as well as that of Cambodia’s because they have been lauded as part of the reconstruction of Cambodia. They play a very large part,” sabi ng Pangulo.

Sinabi ni Marcos na naging produktibo ang kanyang biyahe at nailatag nito sa summit ang posisyon ng Pilipinas sa iba’t ibang isyu.

“In all these meetings, we articulated our national interests and our commitment to working with ASEAN and our Dialogue Partners to find common ground to address the issues affecting our region and to strengthen cooperation,” anang Pangulo.

Nagkaroon din ng bilateral meeting ang Pangulo sa iba’t ibang bansa at doon ay napagkasunduan na palalimin ang kooperasyon sa iba’t ibang sektor.

“In these meetings, we discussed how we can deepen cooperation in key areas and exchanged views on important regional and global issues,” anito.

Nagpasalamat si Marcos sa gobyerno ng Cambodia sa naging mainit na pagtanggap nito sa delegasyon ng Pilipinas.
