US nakiramay sa mga nasawi Sa PH bagyp, nagbigay ng $1M ayuda

PBBM PBBM PBBM PBBMNAGBIGAY ng $1 milyong ayuda ang Amerika sa Pilipinas para sa mga nasalanta ng anim na bagyo.

Pahayag ito ni US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin III sa nang mag-courtesy call kay Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa Palasyo ng Malakanyang.

Kasabay nito, nagpaabot ng pakikiramay si Austin sa mga nasawi ng mga magkakasunod na bagyo na Kristine, Leon, Marce, Nika at Ofel na tumama sa bansa.

“At the onset let me offer our condolences, thoughts, and prayers to all those who’ve been disadvantaged by these six significant storms that have taken place in a very short period of time,” pahayag ni Austin.

“Mr. President, I have authorized US troops and all the Philippine forces to provide life-saving aid to the Filipino people. The US have also secured another million dollar in urgent humanitarian aid and that will enhance the work of the USAID and the World Food Programme,” pahayag ni Austin.

Bukod pa aniya ang pinansyal na ayuda sa suplay na ibinigay ng Amerika para sa mga biktima ng bagyo.

“That’s in addition to the nearly 100,000 pounds of supplies that we delivered after the typhoon,” pahayag ni Austin.

“So I hope together, perhaps, especially the past 40 years has enabled our alliance to grow stronger and better, Mr. President. And you mentioned the exercise, it was your vision a while back, for these sites to be used to do exactly what you’ve described,” pahayag ni Austin.

Natutuwa si Austin na naging bahagi ang Amerika sa pagtulong sa Pilipinas.

“Prepositioning supplies, food, and other elements, other personal elements in times of urgent need. It would enable us to serve the Filipino people much faster, much more efficient. And that your vision has come true. So, we’re glad we’re a part of that,” pahayag ni Austin.

Sa panig ni Pangulong Marcos, sinabi nito na sinusuri pa ng pamahalaan ang pangangailangan ng mga apektadong residente at ang lawak ng pinsala ng bagyo.

“Well, actually, we are assessing the damage and needs from Pepito which is the last one. And I think that we have determined that there were certain areas that were hit… That were hit very bad. But the rest of the country, because the storm crossed Central Luzon,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
