NAGPAHATID ng pagbati ni Pope Francis kay President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

Ipinahayag ni Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines Archbishop Charles John Brown ang pagbati ng Santo Papa sa isang misa sa Manila Cathedral ngayong Hunyo 29 kung kailan ipinagdiriwang ang kapistahan ni Saint Peter at Saint Paul.

“I send you my congratulations and cordial good wishes to Your Excellency as you begin your mandate as President of the Republic,” sabi ng Santo Papa. “In assuring you of my prayers that you will be sustained in wisdom and strength, I invoke Almighty God’s blessing of peace and prosperity upon the nation.”

Nauna rito ay nag-courtesy call si Brown kay Marcos sa BBM headquarters sa Mandaluyong City.

“As I mentioned to the president-elect in my courtesy visit to him on June 10th, he can be sure of collaboration and support of the Catholic Church and of the Holy See as he takes on the weighty responsibilities of his office,” dagdag pa ni Brown.

Si Marcos ay manunumpa bilang ika-17 Pangulo ng bansa sa Hunyo 30.
