WALANG namo-monitor ang hepe ng Philippine National Police (PNP) laban sa administrasyon ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

Ayon sa PNP chief, walang “credible or imminent attempt” para maglunsad ng people power-like na pagpapatalsik sa Pangulo gaya noong 1986.

“The PNP maintains a high level of alertness but as of now, we have no validated intelligence indicating a credible, imminent threat of a military-backed movement. We treat these reports as rumors until proven otherwise,” sabi ni Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez.

Sinabi ng PNP chief na naka-focus sila sa kanilang constitutional mandate at walang panahon sa mga nitty-gritty info na naglipana sa social media.

“Our loyalty is to the Constitution and the Filipino people, not to any political faction. Ang trabaho namin ay siguraduhin ang kaayusan sa kalsada at komunidad. We remain professional and focused on our anti-crime mandate,” sabi ni Nartatez.

Buo rin ang kooperasyon ng Armed Forces of the Philippines at PNP, ayon kay Nartatez.

“Both organizations are committed to the chain of command and the stability of the administration,” sabi niya.

Ibinigay ni Nartatez ang pahayag matapos magbanta si Senate President Pro Tempore Panfilo Lacson na may namumunong military-backed “people power” movement laban kay Pangulong Marcos.

Aide-de-camp ni Lacson si Nartatez noong PNP chief ang una noong 2001.
