Inilabas na ng ABS-CBN nitong Huwebes ang trailer ng Cattleya Killer, ang international drama series na pinagbibidahan ni 2020 Asian Academy Creative Awards Best Actor Arjo Atayde, na layuning ipamalas ang talento at kwentong Pinoy sa mundo.

Agaw-pansin ang trailer na itinampok agad ang bangkay ng isang babaing may bulaklak ng Cattleya sa mukha.

Gugulo sa isipan ng mga imbestigador ang kaso dahil naalala nila ang istilo ng serial killer na si Gene Rivera (karakter ni Aga Muhlach sa pelikulang Sa Aking Mga Kamay) na gumawa ng maraming karumaldumal na pagpaslang sa Maynila 20 taon na ang nakalipas.

Ipinakita rin sa trailer ang ilang mahahalagang eksena sa serye na angkop mula sa 1996 Star Cinema movie na Sa Aking Mga Kamay, kabilang na ang pagbabalik ni Joven (Christopher de Leon) bilang NBI agent na hahawak sa kaso at ang pag-uusap ni Joven at anak niyang si Anton (Arjo), kung saan sinabi ni Anton na hindi copycat ang bagong killer.

Kapansin-pansin din sa trailer na puno ng aksyon at nakakatakot na mga eksena ang Cattleya Killer na talagang bibihag sa atensyon ng mga manonood.

Makikita rin ang ibang co-stars ni Arjo tulad nina Jake Cuenca, Jane Oineza, Ria Atayde, Ricky Davao, Nonie Buencamino, Ketchup Eusebio, Frances Makil-Ignacio, Jojit Lorenzo, Rafa Siguion-Reyna at Zsa Zsa Padilla.

Samantala, makasaysayan ang naging premiere screening ng Cattleya Killer sa MIPCOM Cannes noong Oktubre 19 dahil ito ang unang Filipino drama na ipinalabas sa MIPCOM, ang pinakamalaking merkado ng mga palabas sa mundo.

Dumalo sa screening ang team mula sa ABS-CBN at co-producer na Nathan Studios Inc., kabilang na sina ABS-CBN International Production head Ruel Bayani, Arjo, Ria at ang kanilang mga magulang at co-producers na sina Sylvia at Art Atayde.

Puno ng pagpapasalamat si Arjo para sa Cattleya Killer.

As they can no longer identify what is real from what is not, how can they snap out of the situation? What made them turn to drugs in the first place?

Josef plays Erik Bengzon, a Filmmaking student eager to finish his thesis and to graduate soon.

His parents, both doctors, are not happy about his chosen field of study, thus resulting in their constant disagreements.

Katrina plays Antonette Mercado, an only child to a former congressman and a socialite. She witnesses her father’s suicide at a young age.

She carries the trauma while her mom detaches herself from Antonette.

Ali is Paul Plana, a spoiled brat son of a high-ranking police officer. He helps Erik with his thesis and supplies drugs to him and their peers.
Paul is a drug user himself.

Luke plays Adolf Fuller, Paul’s cousin from the US who is in town for a vacation. He goes with the flow, is a closet queen and is infatuated with Erik.

Andrea is Cathy Delgado, Paul’s girlfriend who is a bisexual. Coming from a broken family, she carries an affair with Joyce.

Chesca plays lesbian Joyce Amores. Orphaned at a young age, she is raised by her grandmother who is a devout catholic.

Angela tackles a crucial role as the subject of Erik’s short film.

Follow these drug-dependent friends as they escape to a place where a local tribe and shamans exist. Will these problematic bunch ever be able to distinguish between fantasy and reality in Alapaap?

Direk Brillante’s no-script style of filmmaking was in force in this movie and newcomer British actor Luke shared in an interview how scared he was at first.
But the workshop he had with the director helped.

His co-stars are all familiar faces to Vivamax viewers.
