INILIPAT ng Malacañang ang Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) sa ilalim ng National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA).

Ang paglilipat sa DAP ay nakasaad sa Executive Order (EO) No. 45. Bago ito ang DAP ay nasa ilalim ng Office of the President.

Ang EO ay pirmado ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.

“Pursuant to the rightsizing policy of the national government, it is imperative to streamline and rationalize the functional relationships of agencies with complementary mandates to promote coordination, efficiency, and organizational coherence in the bureaucracy,” sabi sa EO.

Ang DAP ay binuo sa pamamagitan ng Presidential Decree No. 205.

Trabaho ng DAP na palakasin ang human resource programs at linangin ang advance management capability ng mga pangunahing sektor ng gobyerno.
