BILANG bahagi ng mga hakbang upang tiyakin ang health at safety ng mga kalahok sa Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) Tour of Luzon 2025, nagkasundo ang MPTC at event organizer DuckWorld PH na makipag-tambalan sa Cardinal Santos Medical Center (CSMC).

Nagpirmahan sina DuckWorld Chairman John Patrick Gregorio at CSMC President and CEO Raul C. Pagdanganan ng Memorandum of Agreement sa isang ceremony na ginanap sa Philippine Center for Advanced Surgery ng CSMC nitong Lunes.

“When Dean Francis (Diaz) said, CEO Raul (Pagdanganan) want to do a collab to do this iconic Tour of Luzon, I said, siguradong successful yan,” pahayag ni Gregorio patungkol sa eight-stage bikathon, na magsisimula sa Paoay, Ilocos Norte sa April 24 at magtatapos sa Camp John Hay sa Baguio City sa May 1.

“Kaya naman hindi na ako nag dalawang isip kaya go na go yan kasi siguradong successful yan,” dagdag pa ni Gregorio.

Ayon sa kasunduan, ang CSMC ay magbibigay ng medical services sa multi-stage cycling tour, kasama na ang on-site emergency care, first aid stations, transport services, at immediate response teams.

“This signing of this agreement symbolizes Cardinal Santos Medical Center’s commitment to excellence, for the safety and health of all the participants mirroring our advocacy in the larger context of our patients and partners. This also embodies our trust to teamwork and collaboration at the core of everything that we do,” paliwanag ni CMSC president Pagdanganan

“Promoting safety in sports is not only about competition. More than that, it pertains to a celebration of the health and fitness that are each inspiring all of us, that each send a powerful message to all of us that safety and health is indeed pivotal in achieving our lofty goals,” dugtong pa ni Pagdangan.

Kabuuang 105 riders mula15 teams ang inaasahang lalahok dlsa kumpetisyon, ma kung saan ang opening stage ay aabot ng 180-kilometer route, na magsisimula at matatapos sa Paoay.

Susundan ito ng 60-kilometer team time trial race sa Stage 2, patungo sa Vigan, Ilocos Sur.

Sa Stage 3, ang mga siklista ay magtatagisan ng 135 kilometers 0atungo sa San Juan, La Union, baho ang 150-kilometer Stage 4 route muka Agoo, La Union, hanggang Clark.

Ang Navy-Standard Insurance Philippines ay inaasahang muling magpapakitang gilas sa tulong ng kanilang mga riders na namayani nung 2019 bikefest.

Sadabak sila sa kapwa mafagaling na teams, tulad ng 7-Eleven Roadbike Philippines, Victoria Cycling Team, Go-For-Gold, at.Philippine Army.

Kalahok din ang Excellent Noodles, D’ Reyna, Dandex Multi-Sports, at MPT DriveHub at provincial teams Tagaytay City-Tom N Toms, Nueva Vizcaya, Davao, at Cebu, pati na ang National Under-23 squad.

Ang Singapore National Team, ASC Monsters ng ndonesia, Vietnam National Team, at hailand ay sasabak din sa aksyon.

Ang team champion ay mag-uuwi mg w P1 million at ng prestihiyosong Tour of Luzon Perpetual Trophy.
